Clean Water for All

Scripture: Numbers 20

Learning Objectives:

  • Students will learn God expects our complete obedience to His commands.
  • Students will learn sometimes there are earthly consequences for our disobedience.
  • Students will learn God can forgive sins and still not take away the earthly consequences for our sins.
  • Students will participate in a service project for clean water.

Guiding Question: How can students provide resources for those in need of clean water?

Materials: Clear water bottles, paint markers, stickers

Procedure:  Review how God provided for the needs of the Israelites even in the desert. When Moses asked from God, God gave them water. Introduce the activity. Explain that some Christian groups give people concrete filters to purify drinking water so they won’t get ill. Have the students decorate water bottles and save change for a specific period of time. Combine student donations and donate to a missionary or a group providing clean water.
