- Hazael not only ruled Aram as Elisha had prophesied, but he caused trouble for Israel for the entire time he ruled.
- A donkey was an unclean animal to eat. The fact that they were not only eating a donkey, but that a donkey’s head was going for such a high price for food, emphasized how bad the famine was becoming.
