Christian Volunteer Challenges #9

What’s new with your ministry to children or teens? Are you taking time for godly strategic planning and Sabbath type rest? If not, your ministry may not be as effective as it could be. Here are some social media challenges to consider, too.

Monday: Some adults live in a fantasy world that’s either better or worse than the real world your Bible students encounter daily. It’s important you do what you can to thoroughly understand their personal experiences or your lessons and especially examples may seem out of touch to them and as a result, they may reject God’s truths as unreliable.

Tuesday: Kids and teens often equate love with the amount of time and energy you invest in them personally. What can you do to make each of your Bible students feel loved and valued by you?

Wednesday: A city was built around this rock. Upon what are your Bible students building their lives? They might not know themselves the underpinnings of their ideas, beliefs and philosophies. Taking the time to help them examine each one can help them truly build their lives on God.

Thursday: The world is slowly returning to normal, but that normal will be different than before COVID. Has does your ministry need to adapt? What do your Bible students need that you were unable to provide previously? Now is a great time to reassess everything about your ministry and make needed changes. Start post COVID ministry as strongly as possible. (For many of you that includes taking a much needed Sabbath type rest for a bit.)

Friday: Are God’s Words sweet to you? Do you crave reading scripture? Your Bible students will pick up on your attitudes about the Bible whether you state them or not. If you love reading the Bible, many will catch your enthusiasm.
