When Teach One Reach One Ministries began several years ago, we had no idea how much God would bless it. What started out as a simple blog has grown to includes hundreds of free resources for ministries to children, teens and families including lesson plans, activity ideas, training resources, ebooks, and more. If you’ve ever seen an older home that started out as one room and additional rooms were added over the years, you know that type of construction can become a bit awkward over time.
That’s where we are currently with our website. A cyberattack a few years ago actually crashed our site and has caused residual issues. Our resources need to be better organized and more user friendly. We need some retooling behind the scenes and where you can see it on the site. Our current web guru is our daughter, who has done an amazing job keeping up with her mom’s growing ministry needs, a full time career, a husband, her PhD work and her own ministry. She obviously no longer has the time our website needs to continue to meet the growing needs of an international ministry.
So she began looking for a company who could help transform our site to reflect our current ministry needs. She found a group that could meet our needs and provide something we had only dreamed about previously. We have contracted a company that can design our website so that all of the pages will be translated into any of over 100 languages with the touch of a button! This is huge because the lack of translated materials has hindered our ability to help ministries in other countries – especially those who don’t have access to or can’t afford curricula for their ministry classes and programs. Now everything except our ebooks and a few other resources will be available to them in their own languages!!! This is huge!!! (As the technology becomes available, we hope to add translations to the ebooks as well.)
As you can imagine, making all of these changes and updates is requiring the equivalent of a full time top programmer/designer for six to nine months. As many of you know, we have no one on salary (including myself) and run a very lean organization. Most of you have rarely, if ever, had us ask you for donations. We need your help with this project though. A generous donor has offered to cover ¼ of the total cost of the project. We need to raise another ¼ of the cost by September 1 and the remaining 50% by Spring 2025. (The exact numbers can be found in our Facebook groups.)
We love our major donors, but this project is so vital we need everyone to donate. Even $5 will help us reach our goal. You can donate through our fundraiser on Facebook or through the Donate button on our website (tied to PayPal). Can you help us reach our goal of helping every ministry to children and teens worldwide have the resources they need to minister effectively?
