Scripture: 2 Kings 2:19:4:7
Learning Objectives:
- Students will learn the boys mocking Elisha for his baldness were punished because they were also mocking God’s Prophet and by extension God.
- Students will learn if we trust in God and do as He says, God can and sometimes will do amazing things.
- Students will learn God is with those who obey Him. It doesn’t mean bad rings will not still happen in this fallen world or that he will always give us a lot of material things, but He will bless us in ways He knows we truly need.
Interesting Facts:
- A stone has been found from this time period with Moan’s version of the events in chapter three. It confirms much of what was said including mention of Yahweh (God), their idol and several towns.
- Child sacrifice to idols was common during this time period.
