Scripture: Genesis 29-30 
Learning Objectives:
- Students will learn we can trust in God’s promises to us in the Bible
- Students will learn God’s plans and timing are perfect
- Students will learn God expects us to obey Him, follow His plans and wait for His timing
- Students will learn God’s plans will ultimately succeed even if someone tries to ruin them.
- Students will learn how to make cheese from goat’s milk.
Guiding Question: Why is it important to trust in God’s faithfulness?
Materials: Cooking utensils, goats milk, lemon juice or white vinegar, cheese cloth, salt, herbs
Procedure: Review the story of Jacob Starts a Family. Remind students of the importance of following God’s plan no matter what because He will always succeed. We have to trust in God even when things may not be going well because God has been faithful before and will continue to be faithful to us when we believe in Him. Tell students that God will always provide for us and our needs even in ways that we did not expect or know could be done.
Introduce the activity. Ask the students how cheese can be made. Do they know that cheese can be made from the milk of a goat? Tell students they are going to get a chance to make cheese from goat milk! You can make this as a class or each student can make it.
Recipe: Take 1 quart of goats milk. Heat it to gentle boil then turn off heat. Add ¼ cup of lemon juice or white vinegar. Curds should form in about ten minutes. Place curds in cheese cloth and let drain for about an hour or two. Add salt and/or other herbs to taste. (Use safety measures when heating milk and working with hot milk)
