Guiding Question: Why does God want us to follow His instructions in the Bible?

Materials: Included in the link (Procedure section)

Procedure: Review the construction of the Tabernacle focusing on how the Israelites brought together their different talents to work to make it according to God’s specific instructions. Emphasize the importance of listening to God’s instructions and following them exactly as he says. Following God’s instructions are important because God wants the best for us and His instructions lead us down the best path for life. When we listen to God and worship Him, we learn to love Him more and obey Him because we want to and desire to have the best life we can.

Introduce the activity. Explain what scale is and how creating a scale model helps others see what a larger version of the building would look like. Have the students build a scale model of the Tabernacle: https://www.ehow.com/how_6788479_make-model-tabernacle.html

Additional Questions: How can students use design and scale measurements?

Supplemental Activity: Have students create a scale model of their church.
