Scripture: Deuteronomy 32-34
Learning Objectives:
- Students will learn that although Moses is considered a hero of Faith (Hebrews), he still had to suffer the earthly consequences for his disobedience to God.
- Students will learn that although God punished Moses for his disobedience, God loved Moses enough to let him see the Promised Land before he died.
- Students will learn God loves us even when He punishes us.
Interesting Facts:
- Moses could not have seen everything God showed him without some sort of miracle from God.
- In Jude 1:9, the Bible tells us the angel Michael and Satan fought over the body of Moses. One could guess it was an effort by Satan to encourage the people to worship Moses instead of God and Michael prevented it by making sure no one ever found the grave of Moses. (Deuteronomy 34:6)
