Scripture: Matthew 5:13-18

Learning Objectives:

• Students will learn the importance of salt and light in our world.
• Students will learn why God wants His people to be salt and light.
• Students will learn ways they can be salt and light in their worlds.

Interesting Facts:

• Electricity wasn’t available in Bible times. Clay lamps, resembling small clay jars, were filled with olive oil. A wick was added and lighted to give off a faint light.
• If someone drinks gallons of water and doesn’t also eat something salty, they can have heart and other serious health problems.
