Scripture: Exodus 19-24

Learning Objectives:

• Students will learn God made a special covenant with the Jewish people at Mt Sinai.
• Students will learn God gave Moses many laws in addition to the Ten Commandments he expected the Jewish people to obey.
• Students will learn the laws God gave Moses were not just about religion, but touched every area of their lives.

Interesting Facts:

• No one is positive which mountain is Mt. Sinai. There are two possible locations on the Sinai Peninsula, but the most likely location is in Arabia (Galatians 4:25).
• Jewish people for thousands of years have taken the commandment against graven images to mean more than just idols. Many will not even depict animals, etc. in art or decorative work.
